At the end of May we had our Quantum Success in Business event in San Diego and it was a very expanding weekend for everyone who attended, including myself.

That is why I love teaching so much. In the teaching, I get to receive the expansion of the group’s energy.

This group of coaches was truly powerful and what I consider to be family.

As I shared during the weekend, transformation can be a lot like changing computers or smartphones.

We get used to and comfortable with the old computer or smartphone and really don’t want to change it or switch to the new one unless we have to. It’s because it works, and even though it may not work the way it once did and it might even start to cause problems in our lives (too slow, full memory, etc.), it is what we are used to.

How many times do we go back to our old “programming” in our minds instead of getting a new operating system? Instead of practicing and applying the things we have learned, such as deliberately choosing a better-feeling thought when we are feeling off, focusing on what we DO want instead of what we DON’T want, connecting with the essence energy of what we want, or turning our situations and circumstances over to our Divine Self, we go into complaining, judging, doubting, or even numbing.

Our souls are craving a new operating system and guiding us to it. And yet our personality likes to keep the old one even though it does not work as well as it used to.

The transition between the old and the new can be uncomfortable. My electronics were reflecting my life, and the need to transition was evident. My old computer kept telling me “Startup disk is full” when I was experiencing a need to release many things in my life and business. So I bought a new computer. The new computer did not have all the programs that my old computer did. There was also a problem with connecting to things like Skype with my new computer. So here I had my new computer and my old computer, and I still kept using my old one because it was familiar—even though it did not work very well.

The same thing happened with my new iPhone. It was time to get a new one and make the transition. I was not used to the new phone and there were things that I needed to learn and get adjusted to.

We need to understand that this is very common when we are making a transition. And we are always in transition in our lives. It can be an extreme transition from losing a job, getting a divorce, losing a loved one or moving to a new home, or just moving from one moment to the next. We are always in transition.

If we can allow the transition from one thing to another, and realize that the old is no longer useful and that the new is awaiting our acceptance and full commitment, the transition becomes a much smoother experience.

I also want to congratulate all of the QSB mentees who are graduating this month. It has been an incredible journey with all of you. Thank you Kelly, Stacy, Maria, Kelli and Paul, Janet, and Cathy. You have planted so many seeds and I look forward to see what grows in your garden!
