People often think about the economy like they do about the weather. The presumption is that, in the same way, a rising tide lifts all boats, fluctuations in the economy affect all of us equally. But from an energetic perspective, this notion couldn’t be further from the truth. Because, by virtue of our thoughts, beliefs, interpretations, expectations, and chronic perspectives, we all create our own economy.
The following 3 principles will support you in creating your own economy – one that is governed by sufficiency and abundance.
Principle #1: Be mindful of where you place your attention.
So many of us are completely unintentional when it comes to directing our own attention. A news announcement comes over the airwaves, and we automatically allow it to derail our attention – and our mood. But where and how we direct our attention is incredibly important. In fact, it’s what summons and breathes life into everything we create in our lives.
Learning to mindfully and intentionally direct your attention is the first step to creating your own economy. It leads to increased self-awareness and self-control, enhanced focus, and a reduced reactivity to our bodies’ fight, fight or freeze response. And this means you can enhance your experience of being centered, relaxed and resourceful – no matter what circumstance you find yourself in.
Remember, there are no neutral thoughts. Because thinking is the mechanism that focuses our attention and therefore propels our creative energy into motion. We’re either directing our attention toward the realities we want to come into realization, or toward those that we don’t. We simply can’t give our attention to scarcity and attract abundance. It defies universal law.
Principle #2: Prepare yourself in advance, on an energetic level, to create an economy of abundance.
Your own personal economy need not be tied to what’s going on with the stock market. It’s far more empowering to think of it as a climate of positivity and success you carry with you everywhere you go.
You’ve probably known people who carry themselves with an air of confidence or certainty. These folks know they’re worthy, they know their value, and consequently, they expect things to work out well for them.
When we learn to take responsibility for our own energy field, we can intentionally light up a room when we walk in. We’re able to communicate in such a way that others want to connect and cooperate with us. At the heart of our ability to “shine in a crisis” is being in charge of our own reactions and moods. No matter what’s going on around us, we meet it with a sense of clarity and positive expectation. And as we do, we pull everyone else up to our level.
Creating your own economy of abundance is simply about making the choice to vibrate in resonance with prosperity. It’s choosing to look for evidence of success, regardless of the choices others around you are making for themselves.
To make this actionable, take a pause before each important encounter to consider the outcome you want to create. Carve time out in each day to tend to your inner world. Engage in practices that get your energy moving and uplift your mood. And routinely quiet your mind chatter in order to connect with the highest possibility you can conceive of.
From this stable foundation of inner alignment, you can then intentionally bring forward the energy, attitudes and expectations that will naturally lead to your desired results.
And this brings us to the final principle to understand in order to deliberately create your own economy.
Principle #3: You have the capacity to calibrate your frequency to any outcome you desire to create.
In this vibrational universe, energy always precedes manifestation. Once you understand this, you can adjust your energy intentionally in order to create the best possible results.
Here is a simple formula for calibrating your energy on purpose: First, identify the outcome you’re hoping to achieve. Then, ask yourself, “What kind of person could easily manifest this?”
What inner qualities would support you in creating a personal economy of abundance and high achievement? What inner resources would you need to activate within you? And how would you need to organize your day to ensure you have ready access to those resources?
Creating an internal economy of success is only a matter of bringing forth your highest, most abundant self. It’s making a commitment to nourish that version of you through consciously up-leveling the caliber of your thoughts. And lastly, it’s watching with joyful anticipation as the universe cooperates with the energetic tone you have set.
